This notice is provided under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). It explains which personal data vegansaglik.com processes when you use the site, for what purpose and on what legal basis. Details on cookies are in our Cookie Policy.

2. What we collect and how
2.1 When you browse the site
To serve pages and protect the site against abuse, our hosting and content delivery infrastructure automatically records your IP address, browser details, the page requested and the time of the request.
If you give consent, Google Analytics collects a cookie identifier, device and browser details, approximate location and page view data to measure which pages are read and how the tools are used. Values you enter into the calculators, search terms and results are not sent to Google. Without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
2.2 When you subscribe to the newsletter
Your email address and the dates of subscription and confirmation are stored in our site database through the MailPoet plugin.
2.3 When you post a comment
We process the name, email address, website (if given) and comment you enter, together with your IP address and browser details. Your email address is not published. Comments pass through the Akismet service for spam filtering; the verification step on the form runs on our hosting provider’s security service.
2.4 When you send the contact or scientific contribution form
The contact form processes your first name, last name, email address and message. The scientific contribution form also processes, where you provide them, your professional title, profile link, the related article, sources and your conflict of interest statement. Form content is delivered to the editorial team’s business mailbox. So that your message is not lost if delivery fails, it is also kept on the site for 90 days in a record that only the site administrator can access; this record does not include your IP address or browser details.
The site does not ask for special categories of personal data, including health data. Please do not share information about your own health in the forms; the site does not provide individual health advice.
2.5 Emails sent by the site
For each email the site sends, the date, recipient address, subject and delivery result are logged for 90 days so that delivery can be checked. The content of the email is not logged.

You can withdraw your consent for analytics cookies and for the newsletter at any time: use the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of each page for analytics, and the unsubscribe link in every email for the newsletter. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
4. Recipients
We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for advertising or marketing. The service providers below access only the data listed, as required to provide their service:

These providers’ servers may be located outside Türkiye. The transfer abroad under Google Analytics is based on the explicit consent you give in the consent banner (KVKK Art. 9).
Data may be disclosed to authorised public bodies where required by law and to the extent requested.

6. Your rights (KVKK Art. 11)
- To learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, to request information about it
- To learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used for that purpose
- To know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom your data is transferred
- To request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data
- To request erasure or destruction of your data under the conditions set out in the law
- To request that correction, erasure or destruction be notified to third parties who received the data
- To object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis
- To claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing
7. How to apply
You can send a request about your rights through the form on our Contact page or in writing to the address above. Your request should include your name, surname, contact details and what you are asking for. Requests are answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest; if the request requires additional cost, the fee set by the Personal Data Protection Board may apply.
If your request is rejected, you find the answer insufficient or it is not answered in time, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu) within 30 days of learning the answer and in any case within 60 days of your request.

This notice is updated when the way the site processes data changes; the current date appears at the top.
